Iron statuette, 'Rustic Singer'
Mexico's Armando Ramirez recreates a singer's heartfelt performance in an expressive statuette made from scrap metal pieces. The crooner's body is shaped from spark plugs, and his limbs from long screws. His head, as well as his guitar, is sculpted from the remnants left in a die machine. The microphone is shaped from a long, corrugated screw and tiny nail. Please note it is the artist's intention not to give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
